Job Description

This position is responsible for on-site data capture in a wide variety of multi-site retail environments and maintaining the integrity of the data captured using established processes and procedures. This position has secondary responsibilities which include supporting the transition of information to the assigned account team and ongoing efforts to implement the data collected. This data collection includes the use of basic measurement tools, pre-prepared survey documentation, and digital cameras/PDA’s. 

Please note: You must have the ability to travel (50-90%) and must be flexible with regard to travel schedules. The duration of this assignment could range from 2 weeks to 3 months. On-site training is included. Compensation is $22/hr, paid 75% upon delivery of survey, with the balance paid upon completion of quality audit. Travel expenses are covered inclusive of airfare, hotel and rental car (or mileage depending on expense) and meal allowance of $45/day. Reimbursement to reutn home on weekends or for any period during the survey is not offered.

This position will cover Cincinnati, Colubus and Indianapolis areas.

Duties & Qualifications:

  • Provide professional, efficient, and effective on-site data capture services for customers following specific survey guidelines.
  • Work closely with the account team and IT member to create and oversee the site survey planning and execution
  • Assist in coordinating travel and route planning for each group of stores to be surveyed
  • Represent with the utmost professionalism when dealing with customer store personnel
  • Complete all the fields required in the pre-prepared store survey documentation quickly and accurately
  • Using a digital camera or handheld PDA, take and catalog accurately multiple pictures of each site to be surveyed
  • Complete daily progress reports detailing any variance to the predetermined trip schedule 
  • Provide assistance with the entry of the survey data into the store database template
  • Ability to follow explicit instructions for the completion of the surveys
  • Must be able to navigate airports and roadways in major cities
  • Able to keep meticulous financial records of each trip
  • Must have a good sense of direction and be able to read and understand maps
  • Must be able to accurately use and read basic measuring devices (measuring tapes)
  • Must be able to climb on ladders and do some lifting
  • Must be able to effectively deal with people with varied backgrounds and educational levels

  • Must be 25 years or older

  • Computer proficient (MS Office or the equivalent)
  • Basic hands-on familiarity with computer hardware
  • Ability to read, write and have basic math skills
