MindSource is in search of multiple Greybox SQA Engineers to be responsible for testing and reviewing pre-release pages against a list of internal standards, filing bugs for all issues, and providing QA approval before the pages go live. In addition, the engineer works to improve the QA testing process by updating QA standards, communicating QA requirements, and developing/maintaining relationships with key members of the web team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background working with both the Mac, Windows, and iOS operating systems. A technical or programming background that can support the definition of requirements as well as develop more automated testing processes is required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Adhere to and help improve the quality assurance strategies and standards for our client.
  • Participate in hands-on testing for new releases for our client as well as internal applications as needed.
  • Be a resource for best practices with Safari and other browsers, QuickTime, and a range of devices including desktop and mobile browsing.
  • Partner with other people on the testing team to create a common approach to testing.
  • Analyze a CSS and HTML change set to determine an appropriate testing strategy.
  • Highlight opportunities for automated testing, provide ideas, recommendations and proposed solutions for increasing efficiency of testing work.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of software quality assurance, including the ability to plan a test effort, identify test cases, and evaluate coverage.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of web development or testing experience.
  • Ability to assess and articulate the risk of a release and plan the appropriate level of testing.
  • Ability to pick up new responsibilities quickly and improve processes.
  • Experience working closely with web developers on large-scale web sites.
