Our firm is looking for well-qualified and motivated Accounting consultants with both Public company experience as well as Private equity experience to support our clients in the Santa Monica area.
The ideal professional will have 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with a CPA and/or MBA (Big Four firm experience preferred). A representative’s skill set will include:
- Plan, organize and direct the activities of general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, international accounting, cash Management and consolidation
- Oversee and direct all monthly, quarterly and year-end closings including the year-end audit
- Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements with multiple levels of consolidation, internal reporting and external reporting to financial institutions
- Build systems and processes that will streamline financial reporting and enforce compliance among the company’s divisions
- Assess and propose systems enhancements and drive process improvement
- Direct execution of accounting and system implementation
- Implementing internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy of financial information
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX and internal control policies and procedures
- Responsible for reporting financial statements
- Perform various monthly and forecasting reporting
- Provide various levels of management with accurate and timely information necessary to make strategic and operating decisions
- Evaluate existing and new accounting rules and recommend appropriate actions and/or procedures
- Perform monthly and quarterly covenant calculation and reporting to the bank
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA and/or MBA required (Big Four experience preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive work experience, (2+ years Public Accounting firm) (Big 4 highly preferred)
- Technology or Digital Media industry experience is required
- Strong systems experience with exposure to business intelligence and ERP systems- especially SAP
- A high sense of urgency, strength of conviction, a level head, and a desire to work closely as a partner with the other senior members of the client’s management team
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, etc.
- Hands-on SEC filing experience is highly desirable
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley is highly desirable
- Exceptional business acumen with a high degree of integrity and ethics
