Our firm is looking for an Assistant Controller level consultant to support our entertainment client.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Assistant Controller supports the company to provide timely and accurate financial statements, reports and the monthly and quarterly close process.
• The ideal candidate will possess outstanding technical and managerial skills, can handle deadlines and high pressure environments.
• Assist the Controller on daily activities and special projects
• Supervising a team of 3-8, including financial reporting, cost accounting, accounting manager
• Review Journal Entries and all reconciliations
• Monitor accounting policies and procedures
• Provide compliance with GAAP and IFRS
• Consistently monitor and review exposure to risk and communicate with senior management
• Assist with developing and maintaining new policies and procedures and internal controls in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements
• Support audit process and prepare review and year-end audit schedules
• Act as liaison to external auditors

QUALIFICATIONS

• CPA Qualification + 3-5 years Big Four Public Accounting Experience
• Experience in the entertainment/high tech/media industry required – at least 3-10 years – must have public company experience
• Advanced Excel user skills
• Strong managerial/supervisory skills
• MBA not required but a plus
