Our client, a privately held electronics manufacturing company, has an immediate need for a Controller.

The Controller is responsible for preparing financial statements/packages, performing financial analysis and reconciliations as well as supporting the accounting department and other departments as required. This role also includes supervising and training the financial accounting staff. This position reports directly to the CFO.

RESPONSIBILITIES

#Manages and leads the preparation of financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal and State Tax Reporting Regulations, and Company Policies and Procedures

#Coordinates and manages all year-end audit activities

#Supervises and trains financial accounting staff

#Manages accounting staff to optimize resources and results, in order to assure the integrity, accuracy and reporting requirements on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

#Trains, develops, conducts performance appraisals and counsels accounting employees

#Performs financial analysis, budgets & forecasts

Assists in the resolution of problems and acts as a liaison between Accounting and other departments

#Performs all other duties and functions as assigned or required

REQUIREMENTS

#Bachelors degree is required; CPA is desired #10+ years experience in the accounting/finance function, preferably as a Controller or Assistant Controller #Manufacturing experience is desired
