We are seeking a Project Manager, Client Operations who will lead the definition, execution, and deployment of technical projects within Synacor’s client and product operations organization. The Project Manager, Client Operations will drive projects to deliver against predetermined schedules, escalate and resolve technical issues, and communicate project status toward goals among cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be an experienced project manager who will own the delivery of projects across all client and product development teams including Synacor’s portal, value added services, and email products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee all company projects from inception through to launch and beyond; including user acceptance, global implementation and hand-off to operations support teams
Accountable for project delivery – specifically, owning the success or failure of the project and tracking the appropriate metrics of the team progress and productivity
Provide clear and objective reports of team status, issues and risks to internal management
Manage cross-functional team interaction including team dynamics, communication, and meetings to ensure rapid progress on all projects
Facilitate technical issue escalation and resolution for all assigned projects through critical decision-making and achieving consensus among the team
Create and manage project plans to drive cross-functional team deliverables and release schedules
Ensure that all stakeholders are kept fully informed of project status and progress
Act as an advocate for the customer throughout all stages in the project and product management processes
Collaborate with engineers and product managers during all points of the project lifecycle
Understand technical issues at a sufficiently deep level to comprehend and communicate any existing or potential gaps

What you’ll need to bring to the table:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

5+ years of technical project management experience; technology and/or internet industry experience preferred
5+ years of experience developing detailed plans for complex projects
Familiarity with general project management concepts including Agile project management and Scrum
Expertise in relationship building and relationship management; prior experience in a heavily client-focused role is strongly preferred
Excellent team leadership and team building skills
Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Impeccable verbal and written communication skills – especially in regards to documentation and capturing customer expectations and requirements
Strong sense of accountability
