Within SQL China R&D, SQL Server Business Intelligence (BI) Team is an integral part of Enterprise Data Integration and Management (EDIM) Team across the globe. It is a growing team that is specialized on building and delivering the most comprehensive and ease of use server backed data integration platform in the industry. We have an expanding customer base that has ever-increasing demands for more capabilities. Having shipped the second release of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) in MS SQL Server 2008, we are continuing to extend our product reach, evolve the feature set, and deliver new customer-focused innovations in the space of Enterprise Data Integration.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) II in SQL China R&D, you are tasked with other test team members in building robust test automation using C++, C# and other languages. Your job Responsibilities include: provide critical feedback that improves specifications and technical designs, work across groups to plan and cost features, write effective test cases and use appropriate automation tools/strategies to do the automation testing, appropriately advocate for critical code fixes during triage, identify bug patterns and areas of dependency across different feature areas and comes out proposals in automation, mentors junior SDET or SDET interns etc…

Requirements:
• 4 year+ professional software or test automation development experience for shipping high quality commercial enterprise product (database, operating system, BI, DI, etc.).
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines to achieve desired outcomes.
• Expertise in one of the major object-oriented programming languages: C++, C# or Java.
• Passionate about quality and software testing.
• Experience on test automation, test tool creation, automation framework is a plus.
• Experience with business intelligence, data warehouse, data integration technologies is a plus but not a requirement for the BI team.
• Experience with XML technologies and API design is a plus for the DP team.
• Demonstrated ability to act as technical leader in a small feature team is a plus.
• Background or knowledge in COM, .NET Framework and distributed systems is a preferred.
• A BS degree or better in Computer Science; Masters degree preferred.
• Fluent in English; Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred but not required.
