ETONIEN is looking for well-qualified and motivated Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) consultant we can add to a multi-consultant finance and accounting engagement currently underway at a private equity owned media and events company. The FP&A consultant will be tasked with improving alignment between  financial statements, improving balance sheet and cash flow forecasting and improving the current leverage model. The FP&A project is expected to run 4-8 weeks depending on final scope.

Our client is a well-known private equity firm with significant holdings throughout the US. Their media and events portfolio company has offices in NY and the Southeast – minimal travel outside of NY will be required. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required. (MBA and/or CPA is a plus).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Immediate or reasonable availability to interview and start.
  • Systematic approach to enabling smooth transition from budgeting process to projections process.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members (client employees and ETONIEN consultants) in a hands-on capacity.
  • Experience perfecting alignment between all financial statements (IS, BS, CF).
  • Experience building models to better understand buyout leverage on private equity owned companies.
  • Strong financial forecasting and budgeting skills are required.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
