Our consulting firm is looking for well-qualified and motivated Accounting Managers with diverse industry experience to support our clients on consulting, interim and interim to hire engagements.

Ideal candidates will have 5 or more years of progressive accounting experience.  A CPA and/or MBA with Big Four experience is highly desirable. SAP, Hyperion, Oracle and Excel skills are a plus. Responsibilities

  • The accounting manager will be responsible for managing the month end close process, including all financial reporting and general ledger functions
  • Directly supervises staff and senior accountants
  • Manage monthly account reconciliation process for all Balance Sheet accounts and approve all journal entries
  • Oversight of the intercompany account reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal control policies and procedures
  • Hiring, training, and development of staff
  • Primary contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Responsible for local, state and federal census/compliance reporting Assists on special projects and provides ad hoc reports as needed
  • Assist in SEC reporting and filings of the 10K and 10Q

 

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in accounting or finance required
  • CPA preferred
  • MBA highly desirable
  • Experience; 5-10years of progressive work experience, 3+ years Public Accounting firm (Big 4 preferred)
  • Strong systems experience required: SAP, Oracle, Hyperion and Excel
  • Systems implementation and project management experience is a huge plus
  • Demonstrated a strong understanding of financial reporting and previous public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, etc.  Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC reporting is highly desirable.
