VP of Finance

ETONIEN is looking to build out its current bench of the best and brightest financial talent in the market to support the growing demand of our Texas client base, which consists of Fortune 500 companies, Private Equity backed companies and well known middle market firms.

ETONIEN is a professional services consulting firm focused on project, interim, and interim to hire opportunities within the accounting, finance, tax, audit, and financial systems space.

Our firm is looking for a well-qualified and motivated VP of Finance with both Public and Private Company experience to support our large Client in the Texas area.

Job Description

  • Oversee all areas of accounting, financial operations, tax and treasury operations
  • Manage day to day aspects of the planning and analysis and budgeting process
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, analysis and business intelligence support
  • Oversee cash flow planning on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans.
  • Liaison with Accounting Manager to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function; supervise finance staff
  • Ensure that all established policies, rules, regulations and agreements are followed.
  • Ensure that all department processes and procedures are appropriately documented and executed
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets
  • Collaborate with financial and business unit management to assist in the development of strategic and financial plans and the financial assumptions supporting those Plans
  • Create and oversee building financial models, using the assumptions
  • Identify gaps and opportunities vs. expectations

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or MBA required (Big Four experience preferred)
  • 10+ years of financial planning and analysis experience required
  • Strong systems experience and exposure to business intelligence and ERP systems- SAP, QuickBooks, etc.
  • Advanced Excel Modeling Experience—pivots, v-look-up, access data modification
  • 8+ years of accounting experience—both general ledger and financial forecasting
  • Good knowledge of US GAAP and willingness to research and resolve accounting application
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Auditing skills, with the ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Proactive and independent
