Senior Fund Accountant

ETONIEN is a professional services consulting firm focused on project, interim, and interim to hire opportunities within the accounting, finance, tax, audit, and financial systems space.

Our firm is looking for a dynamic and hands-on Senior level Fund Accountants to support our multibillion dollar private equity client in the San Francisco Area

The ideal professional will have 5+ years of investment industry experience, a strong understanding of fund accounting processes and previous experience with a fund.  This position offers career growth and great industry exposure. Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly close for multiple portfolios of different asset types: equities, fixed income, senior loans, and derivatives; includes preparation of financial statements within prescribed deadlines
  • Reconcile cash and security positions, researching and correcting discrepancies as needed
  • Compute portfolio performance
  • Calculate estimates, management fees, and performance fees
  • Communicate with prime brokers and administrators; analyzing and resolving issues
  • Facilitate monthly money movements with prime brokers
  • Interface with trade operations group, client service group and portfolio management
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end audit processes, includes responding to audit requests and preparation of audited financial statements
  • Additional duties and projects as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and accuracy with numbers
  • Solid analytical, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
  • Portfolio accounting experience and knowledge of the investment industry required
  • Limited partnership and investment industry experience a plus
