Manager of Accounting and Finance
Our firm is looking for a well-qualified and motivated manager level consultant with a blended background in both accounting and finance to help support our client’s growing FP&A team. Large Public company experience as well as manufacturing industry experience to support our large client in the Bay area.
The ideal professional will have 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with a CPA and/or MBA (Big Four firm experience preferred). Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies, SEC requirements and US GAAP
- Support FP&A team with detailed financial modeling as well as budget planning and financial analysis
- Responsible for managing the month end close process resulting in producing general ledgers
- Manage the general accounting function, which includes inter-company accounting, foreign currency transactions, cash reconciliation, financial reporting support, balance sheet management (excluding inventory and revenue related items).
- Oversight of the intercompany account reconciliations
- Responsible for supervising, training and the development of staff
- Responsible for local, state and federal census/compliance reporting
- Provide ad hoc reports as needed
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA and/or MBA (Big 4 experience highly desirable)
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with the ability to analyze and build elaborate financial models
- Large company experience preferred ($75M+ Revenue)
- Significant SEC experience required
- Strong systems experience and exposure to business intelligence and ERP systems- Oracles, SAP, NetSuite, etc.
- Strong Excel Experience—pivots, v-look-up, access data modification
- Experience with all aspects of billing and collections
- Demonstrated a strong understanding of financial reporting and previous public accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, etc.
