SaaS CFO
Our firm is looking for a dynamic and operationally focused CFO with a diverse background in both Public and Private companies to support our SaaS clients in the Bay area.
ETONIEN is a professional services consulting firm focused on project, interim, and interim to hire opportunities within the accounting, finance, tax, audit, and financial systems space.
The ideal professional will have 12+ years of progressive experience, a CPA and/or MBA(Big Four experience preferred. Experience within the Software industry is highly preferred. Job Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s finance organization, develop and implement financial and operational plans to drive growth, and extend finance based decision-making throughout the company. The CFO will be responsible for all finance activities including accounting, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls, financial systems, audit, reporting, treasury, insurance, and tax. The position is also responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with the board of directors, the investor community (VC, PE, etc.), external auditors, analysts, and all other external parties that require financial information
- Work with CEO and senior management to develop and implement strategic business plans and operating initiatives
- Oversee and manage all finance activities including accounting, forecasting, planning, budgeting, internal control, financial systems, audit, reporting, treasury, insurance, and tax.
- Work with CEO and senior management on all major transactions including capital raises, debt, major partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures
- Define standards, policies, procedures, measures, and organizational enhancements to meet company goals for finance
- Determine the optimal capital structure for the company including debt and equity options to support growth and potential future acquisitions; oversee balance sheet management.
- Create and define all financial reporting and business analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelors and Masters degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
- CPA required with public accounting (Big Four) highly desired
- Operationally oriented strategic thinker who has worked for high growth technology companies, ideally in the Enterprise SaaS space
- Experience taking a company through multiple phases of its lifecycle and building teams within rapidly growing companies
- High proficiency with financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills; be a data jockey
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in progressive accounting / finance positions
- Fast and flexible learner and adaptable team leader
- ERP implementation or high proficiency with systems desired. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, PeopleSoft experience highly desired
- Experience with software companies and revenue recognition for software subscription highly desired
- Experienced with high growth and highly demanding, deadline driven environments
- Exceptional business acumen with a high degree of integrity and ethics
