ETONIEN is looking to build out its current bench of the best and brightest financial talent in the market to support the growing demand of our San Francisco client base, which consists of Fortune 500 companies, Private Equity backed companies and well known middle market firms.

Our firm is looking for well-qualified Director level Corporate Tax Consultants with both Public accounting experience as well as a diverse background in public, private and/or Private Equity backed company experience to support our clients.

The ideal professional will have 6+ years of progressive accounting experience and a CPA (Big Four experience preferred). Extensive Tax Systems experience is required. If this description of technical skills and educational background match your skillset and expertise, we encourage you to apply.

Job Description
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and support tax users with the processes involving Corptax and in-house applications during the preparation of international, federal and state tax returns
• Support tax users during Tax Provision processes performed via Corptax and other in-house applications
• Advise management regarding effects of IT or Tax Support activities that may impact any of the Tax Provision or Tax Compliance deadlines
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures
• Develop programs according to business requirements and document business and technical requirements for supported systems
• Identify potential business issues and develop functional system design specifications to implement a proposed solution
• Ensure identified issues are tracked, reported on and resolved efficiently
• Develop test plans, test cases and provide support to clients during user acceptance testing
• Collaborate with vendors, internal Tax customers, Architecture Infrastructure, Engineering, DBAs and other groups to address product scalability, usability, reliability, functionality and performance related issues
• Create and maintain project documentation; coordinate Change Control process
• Maintain operational policies and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA (Big Four firm experience)is strongly preferred
• 6+ years of experience as a business analyst with at least 2+ years of experience in a Tax role
• Strategically minded and highly adept in application troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Awareness of business process redesign and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Advance knowledge of Tax Compliance and Tax Systems Exposure: Corptax preferable
• Demonstrate leadership while working in a team environment
• Highly adept in interpersonal communications and accomplished in formal presentation, meeting management, and conflict resolution
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees
• Hands on experience documenting and communicating both project and business application requirements
• Strong systems experience – SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.
• Strong analytical skills
