Our firm is looking for a dynamic and operationally focused Controller with a diverse background in public, private, and Venture Capital backed company experience to support our Venture Capital backed SaaS clients in the Manhattan area.

ETONIEN is a professional services consulting firm focused on project, interim, and interim to hire opportunities within the accounting, finance, tax, audit, and financial systems space.

Job Responsibilities
• Directly responsible for all areas of finance, from audits, taxes, closing monthly books, and owning all data and KPIs surrounding the development of our business. Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
• Ownership of the chart of accounts, GL and all transactions
• Oversee and manage AP and AR functions
• Create management level financial reports
• Periodic and rolling Budgeting and forecasting
• Coordinate with external auditors
• Monitor bank accounts and debt covenants

Qualifications
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
• CPA required with public accounting (big four) highly desired
• Experience with Venture Capital backed companies
• High proficiency with financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills; be a data jockey
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting position
• Fast and flexible learner and adaptable team leader
• ERP implementation or high proficiency with systems desired. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, PeopleSoft experience highly desired
• Experience with software companies and revenue recognition for software subscription highly desired
• Experienced with high growth and highly demanding, deadline driven environments
• Exceptional business acumen with a high degree of integrity and ethics
