PHYSICAL THERAPIST: 12-15 HOURS PER WEEK

60 miles east of Erie, PA

Warren State Hospital is an extended acute care psychiatric hospital dedicated to providing compassionate, professional quality care to our residents. The hospital is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Today the hospital has a capacity of 225 patients, all of which are designated for adult psychiatric in-patient services.

The physical therapist administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to patients/individuals with physical disabilities, injuries, and diseases by the application of a wide variety of accepted treatment modalities. A considerable degree of initiative and independent judgment is exercised in planning, organizing, and administering physical therapy treatment programs, evaluating their effectiveness, and interpreting patients’/individuals’ reaction and progress to physical therapy treatments and services received.

• Possession of a valid license to practice physical therapy as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy
• Three years of physical therapy experience
