The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Our ICU has openings at both our Milwaukee and Mequon campuses.
• Our ED has openings at our Milwaukee campus.

 

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of six months in a critical care hospital setting or someone that has cardiac cath lab or strong med/surg experience. This position is eligible for shift differentials and relocation assistance.

Responsibilities:
• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Contributes to the ongoing development of peers & colleagues through coaching/mentoring. Contributes to efficient unit functioning.

Minimum Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support: ACLS, PALS and/or NRP required within one to two years of hire for specific departments.
• Required: BLS Healthcare Provider: American Heart Association (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider required by date of hire.
• Required: Registered Nurse: Current Wisconsin or multi-state/compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required by date of hire.

Education:
• Graduate of a board-approved Registered Nurse Program required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
