Part-Time Occupational Health Nurse -30hrs

Corporate Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a part time (30 hours/week) Occupational Health RN to work at a client site in Minnetonka, MN.

Position will promote and support the company health and wellness programs by:
- Assisting in development of presentations
- Providing preventative screening opportunities
- Providing coaching and health education for employees, spouses/domestic partners;
- Ensuring the confidentiality of employee medical records and personal information per HIPAA guidelines
- Administering health assessment and treatment to employees within the guidelines and protocols established by the medical director and Health Services directives, policies and procedures
- Providing health screenings through wellness and pre-placement physical assessments and exams
- Supporting the Company’s commitment to the customer by participating in customer and community services as requested
- Provide overall unit management.
- Provide onsite coordination of examinations, treatment and preventive measures related to the health of employees.
- Assists the Wellness Coordinator in the development and implementation of wellness program to the onsite and coordinate physical exam requests.
- Reviews all physical exams and counsel employees on findings.
- Coordinate and communicate with HR Business Partners during the pre-employment process.
- Maintain accurate statistical health data for MN site employees and wellness program participation.
- Provide executive reporting within HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with MN site HSE&S and facilities staff to promote health education, medical screenings, and medical monitoring for employees.
- Assist and support HSE&S and Health Services teams to develop and refine ongoing process, policies and procedures and strategic planning.
- Utilize data to drive program design.
- Participate in other Health Services and HSE&S team activities as required.
- Administer flu vaccine and immunization program for employees.
- Provide travel packs for international business travel.
- Provide first aid and triage for on the job injuries, prepare and submit First Report of Injury forms to HS manager.
Qualifications Required:
- Candidates should possess BS in nursing
- COHN-S Preferred
- Must have a valid and current Minnesota RN License, with a minimum of five years’ experience with an emphasis on experience in occupational health and / or emergency medical care
- Knowledge of Worker’s Compensation and relative state laws (MN) is desirable
- Experience with and knowledge of OSHA guidelines desired
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability of maintaining privacy and confidentiality; critical thinking skills; work independently; and take initiative on issues that arise daily;
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Must have the ability to maintain a professional approach with others in job-demanding, multitasking and/or project support situations
- Ability to create and edit written materials
- Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences
- The skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
- The ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must have Personal health education and coaching skills
- Proficiency with computers (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Required experience:
- •occupational health and/or emergency medical care: 3 years
Required license or certification:
- •Minnesota RN, COHN preferred
