Full-Time Senior Manager of FP&A

Our firm is looking for a well-qualified and motivated Senior Manager of FP&A to support a real estate client in Los Angeles. The ideal professional will have 6+ years of progressive experience, and a MBA would be ideal. Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan and modeling tools
  • Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes and developing procedures and flowcharts to drive efficiencies      
  • Develop financial models and analyses for fund and investment projected returns
  • Consolidate, review and analyze complex financial information and reports to provide      accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Collaborate with Senior Management and Department heads to assist in the development of strategic financial plans with in-depth analysis supporting those plans and assumptions
  • Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 6+ years relevant experience in Finance or Accounting within large corporations     
  • MBA highly desired
  • Experienced in Private Fund Accounting
  • Robust knowledge of GAAP, REIS, and GIP
  • Strong systems experience with exposure to  MRI, J.D. Edwards or Yardi
  • Exceptional business acumen with a high degree of integrity and ethics
  • Advanced Excel Modeling Experience—pivots, v-look-up, macros, database manipulation, etc.
  • Strong financial reporting skills are required
  • Ability to move quickly through vast amounts of data and make relevant management decisions
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
