Job Description:

  • Work with the firm’s dynamic public sector client base to plan, manage, and lead large components of Information Technology site audits. Embrace Powernet’s client service approach and manage client relationships to ensure that high-quality and high-value services are provided to achieve clients’ objectives.
  • Serve in a client-facing and field team leader role by supporting defined work-streams involving technical issues and reporting, audit readiness, and compliance services. Activities include:
  • Testing the operating effectiveness of IT general controls and application level controls in the businesses domain of access controls, configuration management, data management, business process controls and/or interface controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, department/agency requirements and/or best practices.
  • Liaise between client and sales.
  • Research new technology pronouncements and identify opportunities to improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Review work products to ensure technical accuracy, deliverable quality, and overall value to client.
  • Perform analysis of business processes and internal controls to identify risks.
  • Execute an strategy/work program.
  • Document work completed by preparing workpapers.
  • Provide suggestions to management leaders and external clients to improve client internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial statements.
  • Maintain relationships and communicate with key client personnel to understand business operations, processes, and functions.
  • Prepare presentations and briefings, and actively participate in client meetings and day-to-day interactions.

Primary Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7+ years experience IT industry and a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in a focused IT area.
  • Experience managing a client/customer with complex IT opportunities that include multiple integrated service lines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of targeted industry business environments, issues and trends.
  • Experience in building relationships with senior executives in companies with revenue ranges from $5MM to $100MM.
  • Proven history of successful sales ranging from $5K to $20MM total contract value.
  • Experience with a consultative, team oriented sales approach in analyzing challenges of potential clients.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IT Applications and related technology
  • Knowledge of Cloud-based technology
  • Experience analysis of IT issues and defining that value to C-suite executives
  • High comfort level with C-suite executives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, outstanding presentation skills
  • Significant experience in targeted account management strategies
  • Demonstrated commitment to stay abreast of industry
  • Bachelor Degree or higher

Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Able to transport portable computer: approximately 20 pounds.
  • Work at various client sites which will require travel.
  • Travel locally & regionally on a routine basis and nationally as needed.

This is a position that requires a person who is entrepreneurial and can be a self-motivated, self starter.

Required experience:
Minimum of experience in IT services, IT consulting or IT government services: 7 years
