This position is focused on Information Technology Consulting Services. This experienced sales professional will identify, develop and manage opportunities to provide business and technology consulting to small-medium sized company prospects within focused business sectors. Annual sales quota for this position is $1MM in total contract value in services sales. The role is eligible for an aggressive sales commission plan.

– Develop deep relationships within the c-suite with targeted IT Consulting prospects in focused Huntsville, AL Metro.
– Leverage knowledge of industry trends and client challenges to develop and deliver compelling value propositions.
– Partner and work with diverse practice management teams to deliver winning proposals to customers.
– Develop unique value propositions and solutions for clients and prospects.
– Develop and manage a sales pipeline of 3-4 X sales quota.
– Close total contract value of $1MM in IT services annually.
– Develop a sales team to increase sales to $2MM within 3 years.

This position is for a focused professional sales individual located in Madison County, AL. This position pays commission plus stock equity until team is built, then will pay salary plus commission.

Primary Qualifications:

Minimum of 5+ years experience in one of the following:

  • IT sales,
  • IT consulting or
  • IT government services sales.

Experience selling complex opportunities that include multiple integrated service lines.
Comprehensive understanding of targeted industry business environments, issues and trends.
Experience in building relationships with senior executives in companies with revenue ranges from $5MM to $100MM.
Proven history of successful sales ranging from $5K to $20MM total contract value.
Experience with a consultative, team oriented sales approach in analyzing challenges of potential clients.

Additional Qualifications:

Knowledge of IT Applications and related technology
Knowledge of Cloud-based technology
Experience selling value to C-suite executives
High comfort level with C-suite executives
Excellent oral and written communication skills, outstanding presentation skills
Significant experience in targeted account sales strategies
Demonstrated commitment to stay abreast of industry
Experience with Sales pipeline reporting and CRM tools
College degree

Environment and Physical Demands:

Able to transport portable computer: approximately 20 pounds.
Work at various client sites which will require travel.
Travel locally & regionally on a routine basis and nationally as needed.

This is a position that requires a person who is entrepreneurial and can be a self-motivated, self starter.

Required experience:

  • Minimum of experience in IT sales, IT consulting or IT government services sales: 5 years
