Assistant Treasurer

Our firm is looking for a well-qualified and motivated Assistant Treasurer to support one of our large clients with global treasury operations and investor relations.

The ideal professional will have 8+ years of progressive corporate treasury experience with an MBA and/or CPA (big four firm experience preferred). Broad industry experience preferred. Responsibilities

  • Support national treasury operations in areas including but not limited to: global cash and liquidity management, forecasting, corporate and intercompany debt management, risk management, investment management and reporting, SOX and process controls as well as corporate insurance
  • Ensure debt & derivative information compiled in the financial statements is accurate and timely
  • Manage domestic cash and bank account structure, lead consolidation efforts to improve liquidity and lower transaction fees
  • Assist with expense planning and monitoring, financial reporting and associate development
  • Will work closely with the Corporate Treasurer
  • The position will effectively interface with treasury, finance/accounting, tax, legal, internal audit and external audit management with respect to debt and derivative Accounting
  • Research, interpret, and summarize pending accounting guidance and communicate relevant information to both management and team members to ensure that accounting and reporting meets current Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidance
  • Develop the Treasury Accounting expense budgets and periodic reporting of actual vs. budget

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
  • MBA highly regarded but not required 
  • 5-10 years of treasury experience
  • Large company experience is highly desired
  • Strong Access and Excel experience – Financial modeling, pivots, v-look-up, access data modifications, etc.
  • Proven success in project management and goal meeting
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, management and investors
