Full-Time Director of Financial Reporting

Job Description

Our Client, a Publicly Traded Manufacturing Company, is seeking a Manager of External Reporting. The Manager will be responsible for the preparation of all the Company’s external financial statements including Forms 10Q, Forms 10K and all other SEC Filings. The Manager will also be responsible for research of new accounting pronouncements and implementations of all new accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Company SEC Filings, K’s, Q’s and all other required SEC Filings
  • Review of the Company’s quarterly earnings
  • Preparation of management reports to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors
  • Research and Implementation of newly issued statements, pronouncements and interpretations of FASB’s, ETIF’s and SEC
  • Determination of proper accounting procedures in accordance with GAAP.
  • FAS 109 calculation for deferred taxes
  • Preparation of the Company’s quarterly earnings per share calculation and accounting for the Company’s stock-based compensation plans and retirement plans.
  • Supervision of staff
  • Participation in special projects

Qualified Candidate:

  • Approximately 4+ years of experience in Accounting (either straight public accounting experience or a mix of public accounting and private accounting experience)
  • In depth knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and GAAP standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Software products (Excel, Word). Knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
  • CPA or Parts passed working toward a CPA a must
