Job Description

Publicly traded publishing company seeks Accounting Manager who will oversee the accounting team and be responsible for the planning and direction of accounting activities which will include but not be limited to: 1) Budgeting and Forecasting, 2) Payroll, 3) Fixed Assets, 4) Deferred Costs, 5) R&D Expenses, 6) Subscription Accounting, 7) Billing/Sales Reporting and 8) Reconciliations. The compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience or up to $85,000.

Description: Accounting Manager 

Accounting Manager Job Purpose: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities of the accounting department as well as oversea accounting staff.

Accounting Manager Job Duties:

• Supervise day-to-day activities of assigned staff and ensure adherence to deadlines, goals, policies, etc.
• Monitor daily operations of the accounting department to ensure monthly deadlines are met.
• Supervise preparation of SEC filings for form 10-Q and 10-K.
• Maintain and develop FRx Great Plains reporting.
• Prepare and review information for monthly and quarterly management reports. 
• Oversee payroll integration to Great Plains and assist in bank account reconciliation.
• Review and approve invoices submitted for payment.
• Prepare, in collaboration with department heads, annual department budgets and upload to General Ledger.
• Supervise fixed asset, book and tax depreciation schedules.
• Review and reconcile fulfillment reports, earned revenues by product, customer refunds, and review sales orders for commission payments.
• Review monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations.
• Special projects as assigned.

 

How to Apply
