Job Description

The CNA assists and suppors residents through the entire treatment experience from admission through discharge. The CNA works with counselors, and is responsible for communicating their observations and insight to the treatment team (i.e. therapists, dietitian, psychiatrist, pediatrician and facility manager) to ensure that the team is comprehensively addressing each individual’s particular issues. The CNA may be asked to introduce each new resident to her fellow residents and the treatment staff, and orient each resident to the rules, expectations, and routine of the daily treatment schedule.

Responsibilities Include:

• Passing Medication
• Monitoring and supporting clients
• Assessing for pain
• Managing the treatment milieu
• Partaking in therapeutic meals
• Clinical documentation
• Collaboration with other treatment team professionals

Qualifications Include:

• A team player, who takes initiative, understands crisis management and can implement treatment team interventions
• Someone who is warm and empathic with knowledge of and ability to set and maintain boundaries and treatment structure
• Someone who is able to implement the protocols and rules of the facility
• Experience in a residential facility is a plus
