About Us

ETONIEN is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Chief Financial Officer to lead one of our highly regarded Private Equity clients in the Los Angeles area. This is an interim engagement with possibility of full time hire by the client.

The ideal professional will have 15+ years of progressive experience, a CPA (Big Four experience preferred) and substantial manufacturing/distribution experience. This person will serve as a key member of the executive team, partnering with the CEO to maintain the highest standards in financial management. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the financial and accounting strategies for the organization, develop and implement financial and operational plans to drive growth, and extend finance based decision-making throughout the company
  • Work closely with the CEO and senior management to develop and implement strategic business plans and operating initiatives
  • Oversight of all finance activities including accounting, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls, financial systems, audit, reporting, treasury, insurance, and tax
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the board of directors, the investor community (VC, PE, etc.), external auditors, analysts, and all other external parties that require financial information
  • Develop standard controls regarding revenues, expenses, cash flows, capital expenditures, ROI, etc.
  • Determine the optimal capital structure for the company including debt and equity options to support growth and potential future acquisitions; oversee balance sheet management and forecasting to ensure debt covenant compliance
  • Create and define all financial reporting and business analytics for both US and international subsidiaries
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team and BOD to drive improvement  of overall company performance
  • Oversight of all corporate state and federal tax filings and monthly financial reporting while ensuring compliance with GAAP and international control policies and procedures
  • Manage integration of domestic and international acquisitions
  • Meet reporting requirements for all funding and contracting bodies

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA (Big Four experience preferred)
  • Minimum of 15+ years experience in a senior financial leadership position having worked in one of the Big Four accounting firms, including previous experience managing finance and accounting functions
  • Heavy manufacturing industry experience is required
  • Ability to manage, train and foster a strong, cohesive working team. Providing hands-on support and strong delegation and leadership skills
  • ERP implementation or high proficiency with business systems desired
  • Experienced with high growth and highly demanding, deadline driven environments
  • Able to build credibility and trust with all internal and external stakeholders
