Accounting Manager

Etonien is a professional services consulting firm focused on project, interim, and interim to hire opportunities within the accounting, finance, tax, audit, and financial systems space.

Our firm is looking for well-qualified and motivated Accounting Manager with apparel industry experience to support our clients in the Los Angeles area. This is an Interim to hire engagement.

The ideal professional will have 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with a CPA (Big Four experience). Retail, apparel and/or ecommerce experience is highly preferred. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the month end close process
  • Directly supervising general ledger staff accountants and bookkeeping
  • Manage monthly account reconciliation process for all balance sheet accounts and approve all journal entries
  • Oversight of the intercompany account reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal control policies and procedures
  • Responsible for supervising, training and the development of staff
  • Serve as primary contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Responsible for local, state and federal census/compliance reporting
  • Provide ad hoc reports as needed


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required
  • 6+ years of accounting experience
  • Fixed asset inventory accounting experience required
  • Strong systems experience required: SAP and Excel
  • Experience with all aspects of billing and collections
  • Demonstrated a strong understanding of financial reporting and previous public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, etc.
